Q-Max holds a database containing
information on call forecasts, agent schedules, agent attendance,
budgets and forward planning for your Contact Centre. Over
time, this database builds into a valuable resource. The
standard Q-Max software gives good access to this information,
with more than 40 standard reports, and the ability to export
reports to spreadsheets and web browsers. The Data Access
Toolkit (DAT) is an additional module which gives you an
increased level of access to the Q-Max database.
The DAT is a programmers’ toolkit, which allows you
to read data from the Q-Max database using your own Visual
Basic programs. With almost unlimited access to the Q-Max
data, you can write applications to read whatever information
you require to integrate with other systems. For example,
you could write programs to integrate Q-Max information into
HR or “time and attendance” systems, export Q-Max
information to a data warehousing system, or you could just
write your own custom reports.
The DAT is supplied with full documentation and sample source
code to shorten your learning curve, and training is available
if required. Using the DAT is fast in two ways. First of
all, the simple programming interface provided by the DAT
shortens your program development time. Second, the programs
you write will connect to the Q-Max Database Server, which
will search and retrieve data from the database tables for
you. So you take advantage of the excellent run-time performance
of the Q-Max Database Server.
